From time to time Step Ahead will head out to Op Shops to search for items for our various groups, or to give the members the opportunity to look for personal items and clothing they can purchase for themselves.

This allows members to buy things at a cheaper price than in the shops new, and it is a great way to get to know other members, have a laugh and a great time. You never know what you’ll find in an op shop, and we often discover great bargains, nice clothes, and other items such as books.

It is also great for those members who don’t have their own transport as there is no charge for transport. Members simply need to bring along however much money they want to spend for themselves on the day, or they can just come along and look for items to add to the basket for the Step Ahead group resources.

Everyone has a great time and a lot of fun while comparing what treasures were found on the day!
