Horse riding
Step Ahead usually goes horse riding once per year. Members can take a short ride and learn about grooming and saddling by the beautiful Waimak River.
Horse riding is a special activity that not many people get to experience, yet it is a wonderful way to spend time with these animals, learn about how to ride them, and see a little more of local stunning scenery.

Step Ahead usually goes horse riding once each year either at Waimak River Horse Treks, or Rubicon Valley Horse Treks and members may be able to choose from a 30 or a 60-minute ride. Additionally, members can learn about grooming and saddling the horses for no extra cost.

There are picnic tables and toilets available on site.
