Step Ahead takes a Stanmore Road group to the gym regularly. Regular exercise is fantastic for both mental and physical wellbeing.
Getting and staying physically fit are important for overall health and wellbeing, and are a big part of our commitment to the Equally Well philosophy. Regular exercise can make you feel fantastic, and it’s a good way to meet new people as well.

The Stanmore Road group visits the Shoreline Gym in New Brighton regularly.

This is a popular activity and one which enables members to maintain and improve their fitness and strength levels. The gym has a good range of both cardio, and machine and free weights.

Both the Step Ahead staff and the staff on-site at the gym are happy to help you find machines that suit your preferred style of exercise, fitness level, and goals.

Even a 10-minute walk on the treadmill is better than nothing at all, and you definitely don’t need to be a gym bunny to fit in here so come along and give it a go.
