    This activity on the Stanmore programme is proving popular. We play at a range of Christchurch and Canterbury golf courses, usually on a twice monthly basis on a Thursday afternoon.   3. Tramping

    The Tramping Group activity takes place every second Friday. Typically we leave at 9am and return by 5pm. You will need to have a basic level of fitness.   4. Walking Group

    Take these walks at your own pace. They cater to all abilities where possible. The walks usually last between 40 to 50 minutes followed by a hot drink and a chat.   5. Gym & Weights

    Stanmore visits the Shoreline Gym in New Brighton on Wednesday mornings and usually every alternate Friday morning.   6. Tennis, Badminton and Table Tennis

    Table Tennis On a Wednesday afternoon, on both the Puriri Street and Stanmore Road programme we play recreational table tennis at the Table Tennis Canterbury hall on Blenheim Road. Cost is $1.00.   7. Swimming

    Swimming is an excellent fun and fitness activity that anyone can take part in. We leave for the Pioneer pool complex from Stanmore Road and Puriri Street on Tuesday afternoons, and for the Tairoa QE2 pool from Stanmore Road on Thursday afternoons.     This activity is a regular favourite for many of our members. We go bowling at the Extreme Entertainment Ten Pin Bowling Centre in Iversen Terrace.
