The annual Step Ahead art exhibition showcases the artistic works created by members throughout the year, and it is always a highlight of our programme.

The Step Ahead Annual General Meeting is a time for trustees, management, members, and staff to come together to discuss the prior and upcoming years.

The Next Steps Forum is a meeting between members, and staff to chat about how Step Ahead is going and what we could do to make it better.

Step Ahead takes members on a Black Cat cruise in Akaroa Harbour from time to time. This cruise showcases the beautiful harbour and amazing local Hector’s dolphins.

An annual Step Ahead open house is a time for members to bring along friends, family, and clinicians to learn a little more about the Trust and what we do.

Some years there is a jet boating trip which gives members a rare experience on the Waimakariri or Rakaia River.

Step Ahead usually goes horse riding once per year. Members can take a short ride and learn about grooming and saddling by the beautiful Waimak River.

Usually Step Ahead takes a ski trip once a year. This is a great opportunity for members to try skiing or snowboarding, or simply to enjoy the mountain views.
